Lease Renewal

Last October YB and I downsized and relocated to a condo in a new area.  We've been here nine months now and decided we are probably getting the best deal for the money with a ton of amenities in a location that is super convenient.  Easy access to highways, the subway and airports for me.  Close to schools, church activities and educational opportunities for the kids for YB with shopping to boot.  We are very happy with the setup here.

Knowing we would need to take some kind of action on our lease, whether extending or moving on, I contacted our property manager indicating our interest in extending the lease for two more years.  A few minutes laster they emailed back stating they would contact the owner and find out their thoughts.  In less than two hours the owner had let the property manager know, and the manager us, they had no problem with us extending for two years with only a $50 increase in rent.  As Pumbaa from Lion King stated, "Home is where your rump rests".  Our rumps will be resting here for at least two more years.
